Individual Neighborhood Maps Updated

I didn’t migrate to Fusion Tables after all. Too many hurdles. Too different from what I understood.
I did, however, alter the Big Map to have ‘Terrain’, which is more aesthetically pleasing to my eyes.
In doing so, all neighborhood maps were wiped out, so yesterday, I took a few hours to restore them by altering a small piece of code in each neighborhood’s page. Not hard work, but tedious.
What’s next?
Well, I should fix the ‘Neighborhoods’ table which appears to have been unsortable for a long while now.
I’d also like to finish the map by fleshing out neighborhoods that aren’t yet mapped.

    Fixed the ‘Neighborhoods’ table.
    Only took about two hours.

Nice maps. I noticed they are color coded. Do the colors mean anything in particular?

And is there an Urban Avenue NA that is really that small?

Hi David, thanks for the comment. The colors refer to which police / Partners Against Crime district each neighborhood is in.
The 900 block of Urban Ave developed their own mailing list with 16 members. I wouldn’t call it a neighborhood association though. Just a small group of neighbors that what to stay in touch. I think it’s awesome.

    Hey Phil,
I want to say, again, formally, how good it is that you have put this resource together for all Durham community neighborhods to use as resource to connect to neighbor’s. #1 to keep safe #2 connected to others in our immediate community residence. Two + years later, I still believe this is a valuable resource you have created.
